Class Descriptions
Creative Movement
Ages 3-4, 45 minutes/week
In this two-year program, preschool children will explore various kinds of body movement including gross motor skills, spatial awareness, coordination, musicality, poise, pre-ballet skills and others through creative, engaging activities.
Primary Ballet & Jazz
Ages 5-6, 1 hour/week
Primary age students will learn introductory technique in both ballet and jazz while continuing to learn coordination, spatial awareness, musicality, and poise in this two-year curriculum.
Tap
Ages 7 & up, 1 hour/week
Utilizing tap shoes, dancers will learn traditional and contemporary techniques of tap.
(Tap I – ages 7-8, Tap II – ages 9-11, Tap III- ages 11-13, Tap IV – ages 14 & up)
Boys Dance
Ages 6-10, 45 minutes/week
For boys only! Boys are introduced to the basics of dance technique including gross motor skills, spatial awareness, coordination, and musicality in a non-threatening environment utilizing a more masculine approach to dance.
Ballet
Ages 7 & up, 1 or 1.5 hours/week
Students learn challenging ballet technique according to ability and experience while also strengthening their basic skills. As the basis for many other forms of dance, strong ballet technique is essential for increasing dance ability.
Ballet III/IV Rec is for recreational dancers not participating in our Competition Company. Ballet III Comp & Ballet IV Comp are for dancers in our Competition Company. Recreational dancers aged 11 with little experience should take Ballet II, and Recreational dancers with more experience should take Ballet III/IV Rec. Recreational dancers aged 14 should take Ballet III/IV Rec.
(Ballet I–age 7-8 for 1 hour/week, Ballet II–age 9-11 for 1 hour/week, Ballet III/IV Rec–ages 11-14 for 1.5 hours/week, Ballet III Comp & Ballet IV Comp-ages 10-14 for 1.5 hours/week, Ballet V – ages 14-18 for 1.5 hours/week)
Jazz
Ages 7 & up, 1 hour/week
Students learn challenging jazz technique, which includes body isolations and rhythmic movement, danced to contemporary music.
Jazz III/IV Rec is for recreational dancers not participating in our Competition Company. Jazz III Comp & Jazz IV Comp are for dancers in our Competition Company. Recreational dancers aged 11 with little experience should take Jazz II, and Recreational dancers with more experience should take Jazz III/IV Rec. Recreational dancers aged 14 should take Jazz III/IV Rec.

Lyrical
Ages 9 & up, 1 hour/week
This style of dance combines traditional ballet technique with the freedom and rhythm of modern and jazz dancing and conveys the emotion of the music. Students should also be enrolled in a ballet class in order to participate in the lyrical class.
Lyrical II/III Rec is for recreational dancers not participating in our Competition Company. Lyrical II Comp & Lyrical III Comp are for dancers in our Competition Company. Recreational dancers aged 14 should take Lyrical II/III Rec.
(Lyrical I – ages 9-10, Lyrical II/III Rec – ages 11-14, Lyrical II Comp & Lyrical III Comp – ages 10-14, & Lyrical IV – ages 14-18)
Technique
Ages 9 & up, 1.5 hours/week
For dancers already enrolled in ballet and jazz who would like to increase their technique for jazz, lyrical, and ballet, this class will focus on stretching, strengthening, and honing technique for turns, leaps, and other dance moves. This class will not involve choreography and will not have a costume or piece in the Pointe of Grace performances. Dancers must already be enrolled in ballet and jazz.
(Technique I – ages 9-13, Technique II – ages 12-18)
Pointe
Ages 11 & up, 30 minutes/week
Students learn classical ballet technique utilizing pointe shoes. Students must be enrolled in Ballet to participate in this class. Pointe I Rec is for recreational dancers not participating in our Competition Company. Pointe I Comp is for dancers in our Competition Company
(Pointe I – ages 11-14, Pointe II – ages 14-18)
Modern
Ages 10 & up, 1 hour/week
Modern dance focuses on expression and includes freeform, fluid movements created by use of breath, articulation of the torso, use of the floor, and improvisation.
Musical Theater
Ages 8 & up, 1 hour/week
A combination of singing, dancing, and acting, students will learn the vocal and dance techniques typically found in musicals and Broadway productions.

Registration Fee is $25 for 1 student and $45 for 2 or more students in a family.

Monthly Tuition is calculated by student and is based on an annual total prorated over ten months, August – May (see chart above).

Tuition is due the first of every month. A late fee of $20 will be added to payments not received by the 15th of the month.

Families with two or more children will receive a 15% discount per additional child.

Dress Code
Students are expected to wear the attire prescribed for each class. Hair should be pulled off the face in a ponytail or bun. Wearing appropriate shoes for each class is vital for an optimum learning experience.

Grouped by age, dancers will learn choreography in multiple dance styles and create costume and background pieces as they prepare to tell their favorite stories through the art of dance in their end-of-the-week performance. Designed for the experienced dancer, this camp gives young dancers a chance to enhance their skills and technique in variety of dance genres including ballet, jazz, and lyrical and learn fun choreography. Intermediate/Advanced Intensive
July 14-18, 2025
